Deskly support
Write to hello@pronghornlabs.net. Say which iPad you have and what you were doing, and a person will answer. Ideas for new tiles are welcome.
Common questions
A tile says it needs access. How do I allow it?
Each tile asks the first time it needs something, such as your calendars, reminders or photos. If you said no, open Settings on your iPad, scroll to Deskly, and turn the permission on. The tile updates when you come back.
The weather shows the wrong place, or none at all.
Deskly uses the iPad’s location while the app is open. Check that Location Services is on and that Deskly is allowed “While Using the App” in Settings. Without a fresh location it uses the last one it had.
Why can’t Deskly show my messages, mail or notes?
iPadOS doesn’t let apps read Messages, Mail, Notes or Find My, so those tiles open the apps instead of showing their contents.
Now Playing is empty, but music is playing.
The Now Playing tile shows what the Music app on this iPad is playing, including music it is sending to a HomePod. It can’t see other apps, or music started on another device.
How do I choose which calendars, lists or home controls appear?
Open Deskly’s settings. Each source has its own list, where you can hide the ones you don’t want on the dashboard.
How do I add a news feed?
In the News tile’s settings, add the address of any RSS or Atom feed, or pick one of the suggestions. Deskly fetches each feed directly from its site.
How do I cancel Deskly Plus, or get a refund?
Plus is billed by Apple. To cancel, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. For a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. If you move to a new iPad, tap Restore Purchases in Deskly’s settings.
